Sometimes referred to as the 'Bourdain of the Big Island', Chef Ellard Resignato was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised on the Jersey Shore.  He is a chef, surfer, fisherman, writer, economist, musician, filmmaker, part-time philosopher and grateful resident of the Big Island of Hawai'i.

He has been the Executive Producer and Host of the Culinary Edge TV since 2012.

As a Chef, Ellard has cooked in many different conventional and non-conventional settings with and for great people - with great hearts.

"I've cooked for the poor in San Francisco for Thanksgiving. I've made meatballs and eggplant parmesan with famous director Francis Ford Coppola. I've cooked traditional Polynesian dishes  with Hawaiian Aunties in the jungles of the Big Island.  And of course I cooked with my Dad who taught me the recipes of my Italian and Ukranian heritage."

"I love creating beautiful, healthy, eclectic and delicious food in non-traditional settings. And I love to capture the power of the shared meal to bring us together as humans."
